The following information is about Nucleotides.
Nucleotides Defined
The basic building blocks of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA). Nucleotides are made up of a nitrogen-containing purine or pyrimidine base linked to a sugar (ribose or deoxyribose) and a phosphate group.
This definition is in context to Drug Research. See more contextual defintions for Nucleotides.

- CIMC'2001: A cost-effective ness study of enteral immune modulating nutrition in intensive care patients: Nevertheless, the development of immunonutritio n (IMN), a special form of enteral feed supplemented with specific nutrients (omega-3 fatty acids, arginine, nucleotides and sometimes glutamine) has demonstrated a beneficial effect on patients' immune systems [8]. The advantages of IMN have been demonstrated in a number of studies [9-20]. Two recent meta-analyses have concluded that the use of IMN results in a significant reduction in infection rates, and as a consequence, shorter durations of hospital stay [21-22].

- Origins of Life on Earth Created in a Created in a Lab?!: The origin of life has been a huge question since the subject got smart enough to ask it. We've traced the origin of cells through DNA, realized that RNA is a realizable originator, traced the nucleotides that put that vast chemical together, and spent decades working out how those chemical combinations could have occurred....

- PCR Virtual Lab: Target a specific gene sequence and make billions of copies. PCR is a relatively simple and inexpensive tool that you can use to focus in on a segment of DNA and copy it billions of times over. PCR is used every day to diagnose diseases, identify bacteria and viruses, match criminals to crime scenes, and in many other ways. Step up to the virtual lab bench and see how it works!
